A Weekend For Booklovers - in the first
weekend in May each year the township of Clunes transforms
itself into a booktown.
Saturday and Sunday: 1st and 2nd
of May, 2010
Kenneth Hince Books was again one of the Book Sellers participating
in the annual 'Back to Booktown 2010' - the Clunes Community
Event of the Year! Booksellers from all over the country came
to Clunes to offer their treasures & award-winning writers
joined us for the weekend. There is always much to enjoy -
the books, the food and wine, and much much more.
Authors Bernadette
Hince and her husband
Nick Drayson came
to this year's Fair, and sold copies of their
books at the Fair.
Hince
Books was situated in the AAG Real Estate Office (circa 1871),
one of 18 bookstores dotted across the historic gold town! Well
over 50 booksellers will display their stock over the weekend
and Clunes offers an abundance of antique books, nostalgia,
and treasure.
Clunes was the site of Victoria's first gold strike. It is
located in a hidden valley surrounded by rounded hills which
are actually extinct volcanoes (they can best be seen 3 km
south along the road to Ballarat).

Ex
Libris - The Port Fairy Book Fair
Each September the Ex Libris Book Fair presents a programme
to engage people of all ages and tastes. Intimate sessions
with visiting authors, often held in historic venues, allow
for easy interaction between writers and their audience.
A highlight is the massive second-hand book sale from
local, regional and Melbourne book-sellers. The light-hearted
Barbara Cartland Hurl allows participants to show athletic
ability.
All this and more in picturesque, coastal Port Fairy.
Details will be posted here
when they are released.
